This work is an attempt to constitute, from our culture, an instrument that allows communication with such a textile universe in its technical and perceptual conceptions. Textile Forum Magazine
I started to publish Textile Forum magazine back in the eighties with the aim to create a platform for textile discussions among German-speaking textile artists/designers/makers, curators for textiles and lecturers/professors in textile education. After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 it became necessary to take a look at the textile scenery in the whole of Europe and beyond. Today the magazine also exists in English and is co-published by the European Textile Network, an organisation with its secretariat at the same address as the magazine. The aim still is to open up a platform for textile discussion providing as much information on exhibitions, further education, competitions and professional textile developments as possible.
